Interview with Levente Serfőző, department head and diocese youth referent in the weekly ‘Új Ember’ (New Human)

„Palm Sunday is a youth world day in the Church as well”, says Levente Serfőző, diocese youth referent and department head of Gál Ferenc College in his latest interview in the journal ‘Új Ember’ (New Human) and in ‘Magyar Kurír’ (Hungarian Courier). He adds that the key to winning the youth on behalf of the Church is to listen to them and understand them. We have to ask ourselves the following questions: do we want the church community to grow younger? What can we do for the sake of this?, What can we expect from them? He also asserts that children of disadvantageous background are usually looked down upon in society. It would be horrible if they had to feel they cannot expect understanding from the side of the Church. It is important that they feel that value them and we do not distribute wisdom with them from afar but we go up to them.  Levente Serfőző also talks about the fact in the interview that the personal god-seeking is reflected in their provocative questions, revolting behavior. We have to be pleased with this god-seeking. God-seeking people are evangelical people.
