On 22nd March, during the event organized in the memory of dr. László Varga, Christian Democratic politician and playwright, the medallion for Christian Public Life named after him and portraying him was awarded in the Peacock Room of the Kecskemét Cifrapalota ’Tawdry Palace’. This year, those awarded were the following: Dr. Péter Harrach, member of parliament, Dr. Gábor Kozma, GFC rector, Lajos Sági, priest, Mrs. Mihály Szabó, Kecskemét secretary of Christian Democratic Party and András Pászti representative in the local government. The awarded persons were greeted by Dr. László Kiss-Rigó, Szeged-Csanád bishop and Dr. Kornél Mák, the Bács-Kiskun county president of the Christian Democratic Party.
Sándor Lezsák, the deputy president of the Hungarian Parliament and Dr. János Kerényi, MP were also awarded with a medallion, who took their awards at a different time due to their other obligations.
