Ferenc Mészáros, director of the Szeged Christian Romani Vocational College was presented with the Award for Creating Opportunities given by the Minister of Human Capacities. The award can be given for the excellent results achieved in the field of creating opportunities and for the professional activities conducted in the help of people of disadvantageous backgrounds
Ferenc Mészáros has been head of the Szeged Christian Romani Vocational College maintained by the Szeged-Csanád Diocese since 2012. With his work he has significantly contributed to the successful graduation of Romani students and those of disadvantageous backgrounds at Gál Ferenc College and at the University of Szeged. In the past six years, more than 80 youngsters has participated in the vocational college program.
The recognition was presented on 3rd December, on the world day of people with disabilities in the frame of the gala program entitled ’The World is Better with Us’. The presenter was Attila Fülöp, state secretary for social affairs and social integration of the Ministry of Human Capacities.
