The Tempus Public Fund supported the participation of Hungarian higher education institutions in a higher education conference called Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). The event was held in Ottawa between 16th and 21st November, 2018. The participating higher education institutions (HEIs) were given the opportunity to present themselves at the Study in Hungary booth. The main purpose of the program was to build up international partnerships and to make the HEIs more transparent.
Gál Ferenc College was represented by dr. István Thékes, college senior lecturer and secretary for foreign affairs at the Canadian event. At the event Gál Ferenc College intended to initiate important partnerships with Canadian institutions. We find it vital that our teachers and students get a chance to gain experience in research and knowledge procurement overseas as well.
Apart from building up partnerships we presented what academic areas our HEI had taken tasks upon itself in the previous four years such as pedagogy, health sciences, and economics. It was also made public as to which kind of foreign language trainings we will conduct.
