A new library was opened at the Pedagogical Faculty of Gál Ferenc University.

The Faculty became an integral part of our University in 2014; however the pedagogical library was not integrated into our institution from St. Stephen University. With respect to this, the Ministry of Human Ministry provided 42 million forint support so that a library be established and created by transforming former classrooms. On12th December, Bishop László Kiss-Rigó opened and consecrated the new institution, its maintainers and users and simultaneously lit the third Advent candle on the wreath of the Pedagogical Faculty. In the library containing 42, 000 books, the dense inventory, the books on open shelf galleries providing quiet work, workplaces with computers installed in them receive increasingly more visitors. At the inauguration ceremony, following the greetings of dean, Imre Lipcsei, rector Gábor Kozma gave a speech on the role of the higher education library highlighting the mission of up-to-date services. The greetings of Békés County Local Government was transmitted by president, Mihály Zalai. The government office was represented by chief director Zoltán Petróczi and the city of Szarvas was represented by deputy mayor Pál Hodálik.
